About and missions

Established in 2004 in response to grave child sexual exploitation cases in Morocco, Don't Touch My Child (TPME) has developed into a formidable civil society force defending victimized children, enforcing child rights legislation, and providing specialized trauma-focused psychological therapy. The NGO works tirelessly to dismantle the stigma and silence surrounding pedocriminality, intra-familial abuse, commercial exploitation, and online harassment nationwide.

TPME deploys a rigorous crisis-response framework. Upon receiving reports of child abuse, an emergency response unit of clinical psychologists and legal advocates steps in to ensure physical safety, elicit child disclosures in sensitive, evidence-based interviews, and de-escalate acute psychological shock. Ongoing psychotherapy targets post-traumatic stress disorder, dissociation, shame, and reactive depression. Simultaneously, TPME joins legal proceedings as a civil party to provide free court representation while conducting ongoing prevention campaigns across schools and community hubs.

Support and services

Emergency helpline and intake desk for child abuse reports 24/7. Specialized trauma psychotherapy for children and adolescents. Parental support circles and psychoeducation for family members. Free legal representation and civil party court advocacy. Social casework and clinical coordination with pediatric and psychiatric services. Preventive school workshops on personal safety and cyberbullying awareness.

Clinical Intervention for Severe Childhood Psychotrauma

Child sexual abuse inflicts severe psychological disruption that shatters foundational feelings of safety and bodily integrity. Without specialized intervention, trauma crystallizes into debilitating phobias, night terrors, regressive behaviors, and adolescent self-harm. TPME clinical practitioners utilize developmentally appropriate therapeutic modalities (symbolic play, expressive art, EMDR trauma processing) enabling the child to process horrifying memories without emotional overwhelm.

Parental Support and Alleviating Caregiver Guilt and Shock

The disclosure of child exploitation plunges parents into acute emotional devastation characterized by rage, grief, powerlessness, and overwhelming self-blame. TPME provides targeted psychological casework for parents to stabilize secondary trauma. This parental scaffolding is vital: emotionally stabilized caregivers constitute the child's primary sanctuary during the demanding pathways of psychological healing and judicial accountability.
