About and missions

Founded by community advocates and educators in Agadir, Association ANIR (meaning 'beam of hope' in Amazigh) works to protect vulnerable children, including those without family care, abuse survivors, or youths exposed to street conditions. The center offers a safe, nurturing haven where every child finds emotional warmth, listening, and balanced daily care.

ANIR pairs residential protection with psycho-emotional rehabilitation and school remediation. Collaborating with judicial authorities, social services, and schools, the organization secures children's fundamental legal rights (civil registration, education, healthcare) while fostering safe family reunification or legal kafala guardianship.

Safe residential shelter and psycho-emotional healing

Separation from biological families or exposure to street risks leaves deep emotional scars on children. Through a dependable, structured, and affectionate daily routine, ANIR provides residents with an anchor of stability where they can work through anxiety and rebuild trust in adults.

Family mediation and sustainable kafala foster placement

Institutional placement is an intermediate measure toward permanent family belonging. Whenever safe reintegration is feasible, social caseworkers work directly with biological parents. If abandonment is irreversible, the team coordinates with judicial authorities to place children into vetted, loving kafala families.
