Sidi Moumen Addiction Centre - Casablanca (Mohammed V Foundation)

Constructed in a densely populated district of Casablanca, the Sidi Moumen Addiction Centre brings specialized psychiatric and addiction care directly into the community. Realized by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity and operated jointly with the Ministry of Health and community associations, the facility delivers evidence-based clinical and social interventions to mitigate the destructive toll of substance dependencies.

The center functions through two complementary wings. The medical wing conducts clinical consultations in psychiatry and addiction medicine, biological toxicology screenings, outpatient detox monitoring, and daily administration of the national methadone maintenance program. The community psychosocial wing provides expressive art therapy, fitness conditioning, communication skills workshops, and actionable assistance with vocational training and employment matching. Family support groups empower parents to accompany their recovering relatives constructively.

Specialist medical consultations in addictology and general psychiatry. Directly observed opioid substitution therapy (methadone maintenance). Monitored outpatient withdrawal programs for tobacco, alcohol, cannabis, and pharmaceuticals. Individual psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and CBT. Voluntary anonymous screening for HIV and viral hepatitis. Psychosocial rehabilitation workshops, art therapy, and physical wellness. Family psychoeducation and caregiver support counseling.

Care is completely free of charge under the public healthcare service. Direct walk-in access without prior appointment for initial intake and clinical evaluation.
