About and missions

Founded in 1985 by the late humanitarian champion Aicha Chenna, Association Solidarité Féminine (ASF) challenged decades of social stigma to defend the dignity and fundamental rights of single mothers and infants. Granted public-utility recognition in 2002, ASF developed an integrated model that actively prevents child abandonment by equipping mothers with concrete means to support their families.

ASF's holistic approach blends compassionate shelter with civic empowerment. While toddlers are cared for in the on-site solidarity nursery ensuring secure cognitive and emotional growth, mothers participate in certified vocational programs covering culinary arts, pastry making, hairdressing, and micro-business skills. This journey is supported by in-depth psychological counseling, enabling young women to heal from familial rejection and achieve long-term autonomy.

Solidarity nursery and legal child rights protection

The on-site nursery represents the operational bedrock of the ASF model. By entrusting infants to qualified educators in a safe, hygienic environment, mothers can concentrate wholeheartedly on vocational apprenticeships. Concurrently, legal advocates handle civil documentation ensuring every child has a registered legal identity.

Solidarity catering enterprise and sustainable self-reliance

ASF pioneered social solidarity enterprises, including community restaurants and professional catering services open to the public. This practical immersion equips mothers with marketable hospitality qualifications, provides training stipends, and demonstrates their professional merit, achieving exceptional post-program employment rates.
