L’Heure Joyeuse Association
Historical Moroccan social foundation dedicated to maternal-infant health, early childhood psychological counseling, learning disability remediation, and youth employment training.
About and missions
Founded in 1959 and recognised as a public utility association, L’Heure Joyeuse stands as a benchmark of community solidarity and social inclusion in Casablanca. The organisation operates around three pillars: infant-maternal healthcare, remedial education, and youth employability. Its healthcare department treats infant malnutrition, monitors pediatric development, and provides clinical psychological care for postpartum depression. Educationally, the association hosts diagnostic listening units and speech therapy to remediate learning disabilities (ADHD, dyslexia) among vulnerable schoolchildren, effectively curbing school dropout. Through neighborhood-level social engagement, the association addresses the structural social determinants of mental distress and exclusion. It innovates enduring solutions to empower single mothers and open prospective horizons for adolescents disengaged from schooling.

The formative infant years prove decisive for future emotional stability. L’Heure Joyeuse couples early pediatric screening with clinical vigilance on mother-infant attachment bonds, preventing chronic developmental and behavioral dysfunctions in marginalized neighborhoods.
Learning disability remediation and adapted schooling
Children struggling academically often harbor undiagnosed neurodevelopmental conditions. Through precise diagnostic speech evaluations and tailored cognitive remediation, the association restores learning pleasure and revives parental hope. Liaison child psychiatry consultations are held for children exhibiting severe anxiety disorders or oppositional defiant behaviors, ensuring early psychiatric referrals and crucial parent counseling.
Second-chance schools and youth employment insertion
For out-of-school adolescents, the association offers certified apprenticeship curricula in thriving trades (hospitality, electricity, retail, digital technology). Training integrates life skills coaching and self-affirmation psychological support indispensable for steady employment. Reintegration success relies upon strategic partnerships with Moroccan trade federations and employer alliances, delivering high long-term retention rates that empower youth as autonomous, dignified citizens.
