Psychological Care for Childhood Developmental Trauma

Children who have experienced life on the street or endured extreme neglect suffer severe disruption to their foundational sense of safety, self-worth, and relational attachment. Bayti’s clinical approach utilizes individual psychotherapeutic sessions and group expressive therapies to facilitate trauma processing, providing secure emotional scaffolding prior to cognitive and academic catch-up.

Street Outreach and Nighttime Interventions

Outreach caseworkers operate directly in public spaces, railway stations, and urban fringe areas where marginalized youth congregate. This field engagement is conducted patiently and voluntarily, breaking through deep-seated mistrust, dispensing primary healthcare, and offering a credible alternative to life on the street through transitional shelter.

Family Mediation and Sustainable Reunification

At Bayti, residential sheltering is understood as an intermediate protective phase rather than a permanent placement. Social investigators conduct careful tracing of relatives, analyze root factors precipitating separation (extreme poverty, abuse, domestic conflict), and mediate restorative steps. Sustained multi-year post-reunification follow-up ensures continuing schooling and emotional stability.
