About and missions

Located in Ouarzazate at the crossroads of pre-Saharan river valleys, Asdae Association for Solidarity and Social Development tackles challenges stemming from geographical isolation, recurring drought, and changing household dynamics across Draa-Tafilalet. Across desert oases and ksar settlements, access to supportive social and listening services is often severely limited.

Asdae is noted for its mobile psychosocial caravans traveling to remote rural douars, providing women and households with confidential listening, conflict conciliation, and emotional support. By blending family mediation, maternal casework, and material relief, the association strengthens community resilience across southern oasis valleys.

Mobile psychosocial caravans across remote valleys and desert oases

Rough terrain and sparse transportation severely obstruct rural women from reaching urban support services. By bringing listening teams directly into mountain and palm-oasis douars, Asdae shatters geographic isolation and delivers crucial psychological support to underserved families.

Community mediation and strengthening oasis household resilience

In an arid environment strained by climate pressures, domestic cohesion is paramount for communal survival. Asdae's community mediation defuses marital disputes, fosters cooperative compromises, and sustains the domestic stability essential for thriving in desert valleys.
