About and missions

Founded in 2010 as 'Association Avenir Meilleur pour nos Enfants' (AMANE), the organization is Morocco's foremost authority in preventing and responding to child and adolescent sexual abuse. AMANE breaks harmful taboos by educating families, schools, and communities on early warning signs and child safeguarding measures.

AMANE delivers expert clinical services pairing trauma-informed psychotherapy for affected youth with guidance for protective parents and assistance with medico-legal protocols. Concurrently, it trains social workers, educators, prosecutors, and healthcare staff in safe detection and ethical reporting practices, firmly prioritizing the child's best interests.

Specialized trauma therapy and emotional recovery for children

Sexual violence profoundly ruptures a child's sense of bodily autonomy and safety. AMANE therapists apply age-appropriate clinical modalities (play therapy, expressive drawing, trauma processing) to lift unjustified guilt, alleviate distress triggers, and restore a peaceful developmental trajectory.

Supportive guidance for protective parents and domestic safety

Disclosure of sexual abuse plunges families into shock, which can hinder their capacity to soothe the child. AMANE clinicians support protective caregivers in processing personal grief, preventing counterproductive blame or suffocating overprotection, and becoming the caring sanctuary essential for the child's healing.
