The interview explores the history of the pain, how it varies, treatments already tried and activities that have become difficult. Care proposals take account of the medical examination and the person’s priorities.
2 Scope and limitations
Support may involve several disciplines. The presence of emotional difficulties does not mean that the pain is imaginary and does not remove the need for a medical assessment.
