Samusocial Casablanca
Emergency medico-psychosocial outreach organisation operating day and night to support street-connected children, youth, and highly vulnerable homeless individuals across Casablanca.
About and missions
Created to deliver specialized, unconditional assistance to individuals in situations of acute social vulnerability, Samusocial Casablanca implements an integrated strategy pairing field outreach with a walk-in day reception facility. Its Emergency Mobile Aid Teams (EMA), comprising registered nurses, clinical psychologists, and outreach workers, patrol city streets day and night to connect with unaccompanied minors, single mothers, and homeless individuals living with severe psychiatric disorders. At its Bourgogne centre, the facility provides free clinical psychological consultations, primary healthcare, hygiene amenities, nutrition, and institutional referral to psychiatric or foster facilities. Daily clinical and social outreach rests upon a rigorous humanistic ethic where care is offered unconditionally, free of coercive prerequisites. This unwavering frontline presence forms an essential bulwark against physical deterioration and acute psychiatric decomposition on the streets.

Systematic night outreach constitutes the frontline core of Samusocial. Meeting homeless individuals where they congregate fosters gradual trust with alienated individuals who have abandoned formal healthcare systems, frequently presenting severe psychiatric comorbidity and substance dependency. During outreach rounds, teams prioritize harm reduction for substance use and early identification of unmanaged psychiatric conditions, coordinating dignified, planned admissions to urban psychiatric inpatient services.
Day reception centre and medical-psychological care
The drop-in centre provides a secure buffer away from street violence and exhaustion. Beneficiaries receive structured psychological support, primary somatic consultations, and opportunities to rebuild self-worth through regular restorative therapeutic dialogue. Day center admission enables beneficiaries to re-establish a restorative somatic relationship through hot showers, restful quiet spaces, and structured diurnal routines essential for baseline mental health stabilization.
Social mediation, emergency shelter and reintegration
Sustained recovery requires civil status regularisation and housing stability. Social workers help beneficiaries obtain identification documents, mediate reconciliation with extended families, and arrange long-term placement in supportive transitional housing.
