AMALI pioneered the introduction of the international Profamille program in Morocco, a proven psychoeducational curriculum spanning fourteen structured modules. Designed for parents and relatives of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia and related disorders, the training equips carers with practical skills to comprehend symptoms, de-escalate crises, regulate emotional overinvolvement, and support treatment adherence, halving clinical relapse rates.
Mutual Support Circles and Caregiver Relief
Carers supporting individuals with persistent mental illness face considerable emotional burden, isolation, and distress. AMALI’s peer dialogue spaces provide a secure, confidential, and empathetic haven where families can voice their experiences free from judgment, exchange pragmatic coping strategies, and cultivate lasting solidarity networks.
Advocacy and Socio-Professional Reintegration
The association regularly engages with institutional stakeholders to foster consistent access to modern, well-tolerated psychotropic medications and to broaden intermediate community mental health facilities. It champions the creative and occupational potential of service users through cultural initiatives, skills partnerships, and continuous advocacy for full civic equality.
